Literature Text

Hanging dragon lilies on the walls,
Kneeling low before the guest,
Smiling with joy at their request,
Soft tan skin and hair in obsidion falls,
Kept for pleasure in these pleasant halls,
Here in Upon-The-Sea, they come for rest,
Wanting girls, like her, to serve their behest,
In this teahouse she lives, answering their calls,
She kneels in the shade of a cherry tree,
Petals falling as a soft breeze blows,
Beside a guest with a smile free,
She holds herself inviting pose,
Offering her favors, the end foresee,
How to serve a guest a teagirl well knows
A sonnet (in Italian style!) written as a trade for Morgane13

Hope you like it!

Incidentally, 'Upon-The-Sea' is what 'Shanghai' means.

Thanks so beautiful ! I really enjoy it ;)
- very nice and light
The words you chose reflects an idea of rest, nest, ...to sum up a very warm place to be. That's the tea house.
And at the same time your description of the girl carry so much sadness : "kneeling, offering, smiling free...

It looks like contradiction, but the beauty.

Moreover (possible hidden message)  it's a kind of feminist poem .... women in society are always suppose to "smile", act pretty and kneel ... they are taught to keep the place "warm" for husband and kids. Who care what's under their "hair in obsidian falls" ?
